Combined Sensors

Combined technology sensors, as their name suggests are a combination of radar and active infrared technology in one sensor.

The radar part of combined technology sensors (illustrated in blue) detects fast-moving traffic or pedestrians at large distances from a door, thus ensuring timely door opening.

The unidirectional detecting nature of this technology decreases door hold open times, thus reducing building energy losses.

Microwave technology’s lack of safety properties is overcome with the addition of a three-dimensional active infrared safety curtain (illustrated in red), to protect pedestrians from contact with the moving door leaf.
