How long have you been working at Hotron?
I have been working for Hotron for 19 years now.
Why did you decide to become an engineer?
When I was in high school, we did a programming class using Visual Basic 6.0. It was simple coding that drew a graph when a button was pushed. I felt a deep sense of accomplishment when I completed the task and have been interested in programming ever since.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy reading and staying active
Can you tell us about a project you are particularly proud of at Hotron?
I am proud to have been involved in the SSS-5 swing door safety sensor product development since it is a product that offers full swing door safety with 1m wide safety coverage from 1 sensor module. Constantly enhanced over the past ten years, this sensor has become an invaluable asset for our company.
What is it that makes Hotron sensors special?
Our products are special as we develop them with people’s safety as our top priority and each product that we develop is subject to rigorous product evaluation.
What advice would you give to aspiring young engineers?
Engineers often must work patiently over extended periods of time. Therefore, to be successful, it is vitally important to be healthy, both mentally and physically, to achieve your goals.
